The mind that invests in evil is the reptilian brain. It is the part of the
mind that has not evolved much since the reptile stage. This idea comes
from the Triune Brain Theory, proposed by Paul MacLean.
Even though it's controversial and based on evolution, it seems logical
to me, at least from a philosophical view. When you reflect on how
small and limited harmful people are, the idea of the reptilian mind
fits well — at least until we find a better explanation. Thankfully, we
now have a new theory about why some people behave in evil ways. It's
called the piece of shit theory.
